Speakers Bureau Application

Depending on the public health issue, Harris County Public Health & Environmental Services (HCPHES) serves a population base of approximately 1.3 to 3.5 million residents who live in Harris County. Our goal of proactively informing, educating, and empowering the community is a challenging one. As a result, there are times when we may need the assistance of the medical community to effectively address a particular public health issue.

To assure that HCPHES is able to adequately respond to any public health threat, national, state and local subject matter experts (SME) are being invited to join the HCPHES Speakers Bureau. The Speakers Bureau is composed of professionals who agree to be available periodically to address various topics, such as communicable and/or infectious diseases, environmental matters, veterinary health concerns, or psychosocial issues. The SME may be invited to present at a HCPHES press conference or provide expertise to HCPHES during a public health emergency.
