Volunteers can make a difference to the lost and abandoned pets of Harris County. Volunteer your time to help with animal care, lost pets or pet adoption.
All volunteers will be required to attend an interview and orientation about our organization. Individual training will be provided for each volunteer according to responsibility and assignments.
Anyone in the community can fundraise to support the lost and abandoned pets of Harris County. Contact us to find out how you can implement your own fundraiser on behalf of our CountyPets.
The “Kitty Committee”:
Age requirements of 18 years & older, must have own transportation and wiliness to care for the cats located at the River Oaks PETCO. A minimum requirement of 2 visits per month, which is a total of 4 hours per month.
The “Runt Rescue” Foster Program:
Bring a homeless animal into your home that needs special attention in preparation for our adoption program. On average, each foster opportunity requires about 3-4 weeks of the foster animal living with you in your home. Foster homes are responsible for the foster animals' transportation, food and care while the foster animal stays with them. HCPHES VPH provides the spay/neuter surgery, de-worming and vaccinations.

Special events offer a fun way to help. Volunteer to help with Disaster preparedness, pet vaccination clinics, spay/neuter events or holiday fundraising events. Age requirements varies but any volunteer under the age of 18 must have guardian/parent consent.

Age requirements are a minimum of 18 years.
The Mobile Adoption Team:
We are seeking an advisory committee with mobile adoption experience to help us launch a whole new mobile adoption program.
The Office Assistant Team:

We appreciate all the time our wonderful volunteers dedicate to our programs.
