Why Should You Microchip Your Pets? Millions of family pets end up in animal shelters across the nation every year. Shelters do their very best to locate owners, but if your pet has no form of identification, there is not much we can do. A virtually painless, permanent method of pet identification has been developed and is available from HCRAC or your local veterinarian. A tiny computer microchip embedded with a one-of-a-kind identification number that distinguishes your pet, as a member of your family is the only way to permanently identify your pet. We now offer microchipping for all dogs and cats! |

How Is The Chip Inserted? The chip is so tiny that it fits into a hypodermic needle and is injected, just like a vaccination, under the skin of your pet, where it remains for life. How Does The Microchip Work? A special scanner reads the microchip number, which is used to retrieve your contact information. |
Look how easily the microchip is inserted.
How Much Does it Cost? The cost is $20 for our adoption pets and $30 for all others. This price includes the insertion of the chip and the registration of your contact information. What Types Of Pets Can Be Chipped? This microchip is safe for all types of pets including dogs, cats, horses, birds, reptiles, and exotics. |
