Sweeps

The purpose of the sweep is to have high visibility in the neighborhood. Sweeps involve sending several units of Animal Control Officers into a problem neighborhood with the intentions of picking up all unconfined dogs and cats. Educational sweeps are done before each rabies vaccination clinic, this is to inform local residents about the clinic. This sweep involves handing out clinic information.

If you feel that your neighborhood is in need of a sweep, please call (281) 999-3191, and relay that information to the information specialist. When the Animal Control Officer does an initial investigation, he/she will then make the decision whether or not a sweep is needed.
