Dead Animal Pick Up:

If you live inside of the City of Houston limits call (713) 699-1113

If you live inside the unincorporated areas of Harris County but outside of the City of Houston call (713) 755-5000 and ask for road maintenance.

Injured Animals:

Injured dogs and cats should be approached with caution. Often a hurt animal will respond the only way it knows how...by biting.  Contact our office as soon as possible. To be safe, delay assisting the animal until an animal control officer arrives.

Wildlife:

HCPHES Veterinary Public Health does not respond to indigenous wildlife calls for alligators, foxes, snakes or coyotes. However, if skunks or bats are sick, injured or acting strangely and are on school grounds or near day care centers, HCPHES Veterinary Public Health will respond to these calls. For information on alligators, coyotes, feral hogs and other nuisance wildlife please visit http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/huntwild/wild/nuisance
