The Office of Policy and Planning develops and implements strategies for the assessment of priority public health issues in Harris County communities.

Assessment is the systematic collection, analysis, and dissemination of information about the health of a community.  Assessment means knowing what the needs of a community are and knowing what needs to be done to improve the community’s health
