The Office of Policy and Planning (OPP) is responsible for coordinating comprehensive assessment, planning, evaluation and policy development activities across the HCPHES organization. Key activities include

• Facilitating departmental and community-wide planning and policy development processes

• Developing and implementing strategies for the assessment of priority public health issues

• Coordinating and conducting comprehensive, department-wide outcomes evaluation activities

• Serving as departmental legislative liaison; performing tracking and analysis for local, state and federal public health and environmental legislative initiatives

• Ensuring that goals from the HCPHES Strategic Plan 2013-2018 are translated into action

• Preparing the HCPHES Annual/Biennial Reports and other departmental publications and reports
