WIC SITE
SUPERVISOR
(Two positions available: Baytown 13685-P & Antoine 13687-P)
Bachelor’s degree in
Nutrition or Home Economics with a minimum of 24 hours of human food and
nutrition coursework OR Registered Dietitian by American Dietetic
Association OR Licensed Dietitian by State of Texas OR Licensed Vocational
Nurse with one year of work experience in the WIC Program OR Physician (MD
or DO). Preferential hiring to Registered Dietitian, Licensed
Dietitian or Nutritionist with a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Human
Nutrition or Dietetics, Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition or Home
Economics with 24 hours of food and nutrition coursework or to previous WIC
Supervisors who meet educational requirements. Two years of professional
experience as a dietitian or nutritionist or one year of experience as a
Competent Professional Authority in a WIC Program. One year of
professional work experience must have been in a direct supervisory
capacity. Completion of a master’s degree or an Internship or
Coordinated Undergraduate Program approved by the Commission on Registration
of the American Dietetic Association may substitute for one year of

Main Office -
Galleria Area. Must meet the federal definition of a Certifying Authority
(CA) in the WIC Program excluding the category of WIC Certification
Specialist. Certifying Authority is defined as:

Physician (MD

Registered
Dietitian (RD) (American Dietetic Association Commission on Dietetic
Registration) or
Licensed Dietitian
(LD) (licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Dietitians) or
Nutritionist with a
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in: Human Nutrition or Dietetics, Community
Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition or Home Economics with Food and Nutrition

Requires current LVN licensure in Texas and diploma from an accredited school of vocational
nursing. One year experience providing direct patient care or working

Humble/Antoine Area. Requires a
Bachelor’s degree in
Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition from an accredited college or university
with successful completion of a dietetic internship or other supervised
experience approved by the American Dietetic Association. Registered
Dietitian required.
One
year professional experience as a Registered Dietitian in a hospital, school
food service, nursing home, college or university is preferred. Master’s
Degree may be substituted for one year of experience.
