EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLANNER   13478-T

Main office - Galleria Area.  The Emergency Management Planner (EMP) plays a lead role in the planning for all hazard responses to public health emergencies. The EMP is responsible for programmatic planning and deliverables for the Office of Public Health Preparedness grants. The EMP will have a key role, within the Departmental Incident Management Team, in responding to public health emergencies.  Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university with 3 years experience in the emergency planning field is required. High School diploma or equivalent with 7 years of emergency management experience in planning may be considered in lieu of a degree. Completion of ICS 100, 200, 300, 700, 800 training is preferred for this position.  Other requirements apply.  Click here for a complete job description.
