Rabies Vaccination Clinic
On Saturday, February 7, 2009, Harris County Public Health & Environmental Services (HCPHES) Veterinary Public Health will be sponsoring a low-cost rabies vaccination clinic at the HCPHES Veterinary Public Health Animal Shelter, 612 Canino Rd., Houston, 77076.
Clinic hours will be 11:00am – 4:00pm and vaccinations will cost $5.00. County pet licenses will also be available.
All dogs and cats four months of age and older are required to be vaccinated against rabies and licensed with the county. Vaccination and license tags are a pets’ ticket home should they ever become lost.
HCPHES Veterinary Public Health requests all dogs be leashed and all cats be contained on leashes or in carriers. If neither is available to the cat owner, a pillowcase or onion sack works well for short-term confinement.
For your safety, your pets’ health and your community, bring your pets to the vaccination clinic to receive their rabies shots.
For more information, call HCPHES Veterinary Public Health at (281) 999-3191 or log on to www.hcphes.org or www.countypets.com .
