Air Quality in Harris County Back to Normal

Harris County Public Health and Environmental Services has lifted the “Air Quality Warning/Health Advisory” for the Houston-Galveston area.  HCPHES issues an “Air Quality Warning/Health Advisory” when air pollutants reach levels that can cause health problems.

Currently, the air quality for Harris County is rated Good.  The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality anticipates that we will remain in the Good - Moderate over the next few days.

Those interested in monitoring the smoke levels in Harris County can view the “Current PM 2.5 Levels in Texas” page on Texas Commission on Environmental Quality’s web site (http://www.tceq.state.tx.us//cgi-bin/monops/texas_pm25).  For local news releases and air quality updates, refer to Harris County Public Health and Environmental Services web site (www.hcphes.org).
