Where Can An Adult Get A Pneumococcal Shot?

Please feel free to call our health centers to see if we have still have a supply of the pneumococcal vaccine. HCPHES provides the vaccine on a first come-first served basis.

Pneumococcal pneumonia is a serious complication of the flu. Each year, there are approximately 500,000 cases of this disease and roughly 40,000 deaths in the United States.

Getting a pneumococcal vaccine will protect you from pneumococcal pneumonia. Any adult 65 years of age or older who has a long-term health problem or a condition that lowers the body’s resistance to infection should get the pneumococcal vaccine.
