How to interpret the
Establishment Information Page – an item by item description
-
Facility Type – Food establishments are categorized and
permitted according to type of operation (restaurant, day
care, etc.)
-
Permit Expiration Date
– All
establishments must possess a valid and current permit to
operate. Permits are issued on an annual basis.
-
Public Water Supply
–
Potable (drinking water) is supplied by a city or a
municipal utility district.
-
Private Well – Potable (drinking water) comes from a
well that has been approved for public use by the Texas
Commission on Environmental Quality.
-
No Drinking Water Required
– A food establishment’s tap water is not offered to the
public and is not used for food service (cooking or cleaning
of food equipment.) An example is a bar that serves only
canned or bottled drinks and packaged items such as potato
chips.
-
Septic System
– Wastewater and sewage is handled by a private septic
system rather a city or municipal utility district.
-
Inspections – Inspections conducted over the last 365
days are shown.
