BIOLOGICAL POLLUTANTS -animal dander, dust mites and cockroach parts, fungi (molds), mildew, infectious agents (bacteria or viruses), cat saliva, rodent droppings, and pollen

dandelionBiological pollutants are in every home and are hard to get rid of. Two conditions are essential to support biological growth: nutrients and moisture.

Sources: Wet or moist walls, ceilings, carpets, furniture, poorly maintained humidifiers and air conditioners, bedding, household pets, firewood, house plants, water leaks around tubs and sinks, dust and dirt.

Health Effects: Eye, nose, and throat irritation, shortness of breath, itching, coughing, dizziness, lethargy, fever, digestive problems, allergic reactions, asthma, humidifier fever, influenza and other infectious diseases.
