Clinical Quality Management Program (CQMP)

The CQMP is responsible for various quality management activities within the Harris County Public Health & Environmental Services (HCPHES) Clinics, especially as they relate to Family Planning, Prenatal/Maternity Care, Child Health programs and Nutrition and WIC Services.

The CQMP Program is designed to:

  • Assure the training of HCPHES clinical care staff
  • Assure that HCPHES clinical care staff follow current standards for provision of quality patient care
  • Assure quality of patient care and resolve identified clinical care issues where they may arise

All clinical services delivered by HCPHES Clinics are subject to periodic reviews by the CQMP. This helps to ensure that services are provided within the framework of professional standards in a safe and cost effective manner.

Policies and procedures are written and updated annually or as needed to reflect the most current practice in health services delivery.  Quality reviews are performed to ensure compliance with relevant Local, State, and Federal standards.

Potential quality care issues are identified in order to ensure that such situations do not affect the quality of current or future patient care provided through the HCPHES Clinics.

The following HCPHES services are under the direction of the CQMP for quality management:

For any questions about the quality of clinical services provided through the HCPHES Clinics or for general questions, please call the CQMP Intake Number at (713)439-6100.
