Dental Public Health Clinics
 The
Harris County Public Health and Environmental Services (HCPHES)
Dental program provides basic dental services to eligible
children and maternity patients of the HCPHES clinics.
Currently, dental services are offered at the
Antoine Community Clinic
and at the Southeast Community
Clinic
Scope of Services Offered:
Our clinics offer services to Medicaid and CHIP eligible
children at no charge. For children not qualified under these
programs and from families with incomes less than 200% of the
Federal Poverty Level, dental services are provided at $5.00 per
visit. Maternity HCPHES clinic patients of the may receive a
cleaning and services to treat a dental emergency for $5.00 per
visit. HCPHES Dental Clinical Services
are limited to the following:Services for children:
- Dental examinations
- X-rays
- Cleanings
- Fluoride treatments
- Tooth sealants
- Diet and oral hygiene counseling
- Fillings
- Extractions
When necessary, patients are referred to other sources of care where more
comprehensive services may be received.
Services for maternity patients:
- Cleanings
- Emergency treatments referred by the HCPHES clinic doctor
When necessary, patients are referred to other sources of care where more
comprehensive services may be received.
