The Disease Control & Clinical Prevention Division provides an array of population-based and clinical preventive health services.
Through five preventive health clinics and thirteen Women, Infants and Children sites, the Disease Control & Clinical Prevention Division provides traditionally underserved Harris County residents with the following services:

In addition to these direct patient services, the Disease Control & Clinical Prevention Division conducts systematic epidemiologic surveillance, mobile immunization outreach, refugee health screening, school-based dental education, tobacco cessation activities, contact investigation and directly observed therapy for tuberculosis and a variety of community-based health awareness activities.
