SAFE Kids Greater Houston Water Safety Team
Members
represent local agencies and organizations, working to
promote awareness for water safety through
initiatives aimed at protecting children from
drowning and drowning injuries. Program strategies
are designed to educate adults and children on how
to be safe in and around all bodies of water.
Activities and campaigns implemented at the
community level promote water safety practices and
teach the following skills:

Consistent and close (arms
reach) parental or adult supervision in or near water.

Teach children under the age
13 that they must wear life jackets while on boats.
It’s the law!

Life jacket education and
demonstration.

CPR to save a life when seconds
count.
