Keynote Speakers - Elizabeth Bryce, MD, PhD, FRCPC

Elizabeth Bryce, MD, PhD, FRCPC, Clinical Professor, Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, University of British Columbia, Vancouver General Hospital, Director of Infection Control at Vancouver Hospital & Health Science Centre

Dr. Bryce holds dual qualifications in Internal Medicine and Medical Microbiology. She is a Clinical Professor at the University of British Columbia and has been on staff at Vancouver Hospital and Health Sciences Centre since 1983. She is the Regional Medical Director for Infection Control at Vancouver Coastal Health and has practised as a Medical Microbiologist at Vancouver General Hospital for the last 15 years. Dr. Bryce is a co-chair of the Canadian Nosocomial Infection Surveillance Program under the auspices of Public Health Agency of Canada and is a reviewer for the Health Canada Steering Committee on Infection Control Guidelines. Elizabeth currently holds two grants related to worker compliance with personal protective equipment.
